Classes

People who have taken my class will often say that there is something different about it. Instead of feeling tired or overworked, they feel relaxed and balanced. There are certain principles which I uphold in my own practice, that are a common theme in my classes. These principles are alignment, focus on energy, balance of strength and ease, and discipline.  The skill of organizing the body and building spatial awareness is one of the many benefits of yoga. My assistant, Matthew Guingona is an integral part in helping students maintain their alignment during class.

Energy work is completed during the flow with simple movements that I have pulled from my studies of EFT, energy medicine, and reiki. For people interested in going deeper in these practices, I offer optional guided meditation and self-reiki at the end of class (time and place permitting). Yoga is as hard or as easy as you want to make it, but it almost impossible to advance until there is peaceful synergy between the mind and body. A major component to any yoga class is strengthening the relationship between mind, body, and spirit so that improvements in all areas of life can be made. The real benefit of yoga, I have found, lies in developing a consistent practice. This requires a considerable amount of discipline. If it is not possible to attend a yoga class everyday then a home practice must be made part of your routine. I offer assistance in this area in any way that I can.
